The Recession

how long do we have to wait until stuff starts getting cheaper? is that ever going to happen? i'm not really that well-versed in economics. my professor for macroeconomics in college wore a fanny pack, velcro sneakers and always had chalk all over himself. terrible fashion sense coupled with the fact that he had a mustache makes me think he was a genius in hindsight. the fact that he let us grade our own work and give ourselves grades at the end of the semester made me feel like a genius at the time.

i guess hindsight is always 20/20 in this whole recession biz. like when i decided not to set up my 401K right away. that turned out pretty well. i've always been a cash business anyways.

anyways, if anyone could explain how the next couple of years are going to work i'd appreciate it. i imagine times are going to get tight. i'm not convinced until they give it a better name. and not "The Second Great Depression". we could use a little more creativity from the media. remember "shock and awe"? that was a dope name. there's no way the military came up with that. i think we should go that route for the recession. something like "lose and cry"?

mmmmbolt?

My very first blog

i no longer have a mustache, but i did and i probably will again. i started this blog in the spirit of my mustache because it left me with no reason to take myself too seriously. writing a blog inherently assumes that people care about what i have to say and would read said musings, which the serious, mustache-lacking me would be hesitant about assuming. we all know what happens when we assume. so when you read this blog (if anyone is or does) picture me as the image you see ... with a mustache ... musing.

anyways, i'm bored today, thus the jumping-on-the-bandwagon-and-starting-a-blog-2-or-3-years-after-its-cool move.  leaving work soon because everyone is at a National Brand meeting in Vegas. guess shooting a video with models in bikinis on a see saw doesn't make you big time enough for Vegas. whatever, they can't take that from me. i've never been there, but i'm envious about the way everyone that has been lights up when vegas comes up in conversation. it must be that whole "what happens in vegas, stays in vegas" international immunity thing. what happens in camillus, ny definitely doesn't stay in camillus, ny. luckily, the most likely retort to that statement is "what does happen in camillus, ny?"

fantasy football happens in camillus, ny ... and everywhere else in the country. regardless, its something to talk about and talk shit about. i appreciate it, if only as a platform for shit-talking.

you think we'll look back and laugh that sarah palin was a vice president nominee?

i'm out
